Ucheldre news — Spring 2013

One hesitates to say this is the Spring Diary of Events given the current weather.  However, we have packed as much as we can to try and keep you happy and engaged during the next few months.  Film and satellite broadcasts have proved popular, and we will be adding the Glyndebourne season, National Theatre, and rock concerts such as War of the Worlds.  We have plenty of live music and drama with the welcome return of European Arts, and a first with a visit by the National Theatre of Wales, who are resident on Anglesey for June - so watch out for more events.

The new seating continues to be very popular, and we are just installing the last of the other improvements so please continue to bear with us.  The popularity of the seating has raised a few problems, and I have been asked to remind you that even though the rake seating is numbered our tickets are not.  Everyone can book a ticket which guarantees a place at an event, but only Friends of the Centre can reserve a particular seat.  We continue to be able to reserve spaces for disabled access if any special needs could be mentioned when booking.  We will be reviewing our policy, and Friend’s membership during the year.  However, in meantime becoming a Friend is open to everyone, and a very modest annual subscription (£18 full, £12 concession, or bargain £150 life) helps the Centre and gives you the benefits of reduced prices on some events, and of course, the benefit of reserving your favourite seat.

Once again we look forward to welcoming you to as many events as you can manage, and please bring family and friends along with you.

Best wishes, Mike Gould, General Manager
