The Ucheldre Restaurant
Many of you will already know that after many years our Catering Manager Sally is to leave the Ucheldre. She is really sad to be leaving as we are sad that she is going. But we are also really pleased for her as she is off to meet exciting new challenges and we sincerely wish her the best of luck.
So we are on the hunt for a new Sally. So if you are or know anyone who might be interested we would like CVs and a covering letter as soon as possible, preferably by the beginning of next week.

What's the Buzz!
We are taking part in the Tesco Bags of Help for local projects scheme. This is taking place over the month of February only
The title of our project is 'Ucheldre Kitchen Garden' .

We are pushing ahead with the Feasibility Study to improve and extend the Centre's facilities. Below is the invitation for Design Team tenders.

CANOLFAN UCHELDRE CENTRE
NEW DANCE STUDIO AND CINEMA FACILITY – FEASIBILITY
Ucheldre has acquired the
freehold ownership of adjacent land which provides the potential for a valuable
extension to create additional gallery and participatory workshop spaces (dance
and visual arts), along with a dedicated small screen facility.
Ucheldre wishes to appoint a Design Team to prepare a
feasibility study to explore design options for the delivery of the proposed
new extension and review of the existing facility.
The requirements of the feasibility study are briefly
Prepare an RIBA
Stage 2 Concept design for the proposed facility that satisfies Canolfan
Ucheldre Centre’s aims for the building.
detailed assessment of the existing facilities and structure to ensure it is
fit for purpose for the next 25 years.
estimated cost in use data for the new facility and existing buildings taking
account of any recommendation from the fitness for purpose study.
Liaise with the
Business Team which is separately employed by Ucheldre including sharing of
cost estimates and cost in use information.
Companies interested in tendering for the feasibility
study will be required to demonstrate extensive experience of working on arts
related projects of this nature and experience of working on listed buildings.
