Book Launch |
24 September Doors open 7pm Readings begin 7.30pm |

An opportunity to meet Phil Cope at
the launch of his new book, The
Dancing Pilgrimage of Water, writings
on Welsh rivers, lakes and reservoirs,
collected by Dewi Roberts, and
illustrated with photographs by Phil
Cope.
The event will be both a celebration
of the rivers, lakes, and reservoirs of
Wales through readings from the
poems, and an exploration of Phils
powerful images.
He has created a powerful
dialogue with the written
word.
Phils last exhibition and talk
at Ucheldre was on the Holy
Wells of Wales and Anglesey.
All welcome

Lysistrata |
25 September 7.30pm |
A welcome return of the superb Actors of Dionysus
with a production of Lysistrata in which the face of
tragedy turns comic!
Lysistrata is as relevant today in its anti-war
message as it was when written over 2400 years
ago. The women
of Greece, fronted
by the heroine
Lysistrata, deny
their men sex until
they sign a peace
treaty to stop the
war.
A deliciously irreverent, and delightfully
raunchy take on Aristophanes most brilliant
of comedies, in a highly physical, stunningly
visual, and sparklingly slapstick production.
On the Edexel GCE A level syllabus.
